Why did Vacation Ownership Advisor become a Canadian Resort & Travel Association member?

Starting your own company in the vacation ownership industry with goals and dreams to become a recognized industry-wide, trusted, and successful company is not easy to accomplish.

The amount of time, dedication, and willingness to learn exceeds what most are willing to give. Developing positive and ongoing relationships is an enormous part of any company or individual’s success.

My first experience at GNEX in May 2021 in Miami allowed me to create those relationships that will help VOA become a success. I did my research before arriving, studying the LINKEDIN profiles of the executives, their companies, and their products. The first morning I was introduced to Mr. Gaetan Babin, the President, and CEO of the Canadian Resort & Travel Association CRTA, I immediately recognized him. He asked, “Who are you with? What do you do?” I briefly explained the vision of Vacation Ownership Advisor; he replied, “What a fantastic idea; this is something this industry greatly needs!” I was very excited to hear this feedback from a knowledgeable, experienced person in the vacation ownership industry.

Over the next few days, I learned from Gaetan about his wealth of knowledge and experience in the timeshare industry. We discussed CRTA and the enormous benefits related to becoming a member. Such as direct contact with the decision-makers of many resorts, an industry-recognized code of ethics, the ability to conduct business in Canada as a trusted company, and creating positive awareness for VOA.

Though all of those reasons to join CRTA would ultimately justify becoming a member, the most important reason for VOA to join CRTA was the person representing CRTA, Mr. Gaetan Babin.

VOA is a proud member of CRTA, and VOA looks forward to attending GNEX Conference Toronto in September 2022!

Thank you, Gaetan Babin; you make a significant difference in the Vacation Ownership Industry!
